About Us – DeeMaRa Foundation

Who we are

The DeeMaRa Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of abandoned children, the elderly, and the disabled. Through education, vocational training, and storytelling, we provide opportunities for personal growth, independence, and community support.

Founded in 2016 and officially registered in 2019, our foundation was built on the belief that every individual deserves dignity, support, and the chance to thrive. By offering structured programs and safe spaces for learning, expression, and skill development, we aim to restore hope and empower lives.

Our Vision

A world where every child has a loving home, every elderly person is valued, and every disabled individual has the tools to live independently with dignity.

Our Mission

To empower abandoned children, the elderly, and the disabled through education and storytelling, fostering self-reliance, understanding, and community connection.

Our Core Values

Empowerment

We believe in equipping people with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.

Inclusivity

We advocate for a society where everyone, regardless of their background or abilities, has a place to belong.

Compassion

We approach our work with care, understanding, and a deep commitment to making a difference.

Education

We see knowledge as the key to change and prioritize learning in all our initiatives.

Community

We foster strong connections that provide support, encouragement, and shared experiences.

International Literacy Day Celebration

To celebrate International Literacy Day, children gathered in a joyful outdoor setting to explore storytelling through colouring, puzzles, and shared reading. Using pages from Amara’s Adoption Journey and God’s Precious Gift, they brought scenes to life with vibrant colors and personal flair, proudly signing their names and expressing their creativity. Word searches and math puzzles added a playful challenge, while group activities fostered connection and confidence. This celebration honored literacy not just as a skill, but as a gateway to identity, imagination, and belonging—proving that every child’s voice deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
